Alliance Jiu Jitsu | Keller by Sam Snow is a proud affiliate of the 15x IBJJF World Champion team, Alliance Jiu Jitsu. Professor Sam Snow is a 3rd degree black belt under Alliance Founder, Romero "Jacare" Cavalcanti. Having trained, taught, and certified through Alliance courses all over the US, Brazil, and South America, Sam is one of the most experienced instructors teaching the Alliance Methodology in the US today. With over 20 years of experience teaching kids and adults, he brings a wealth of skill, knowledge, patience, and perspective.

Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese as well as English (his native tongue), Professor Snow has been able to engage a vast network of professionals, students, mentors, and instructors from all over the world. Under his leadership, Alliance Keller is home to black belt instructors from Ecuador, Canada, Argentina, and the US.

Professor Sam Snow - a 3rd degree black belt under Fernando Di Pierro and Romero “Jacare” Cavalcant, is a devoted husband and father of three, and is a graduate of Keller High School and the University of Texas at Arlington.


The founder of Alliance Jiu-Jitsu Keller (formerly Snow Jiu-Jitsu), Professor Snow has over 20 years of experience instructing jiu-jitsu.


His background includes training in Muay Thai, Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling, Judo, Boxing, and Mixed Martial Arts (amateur record 3-0-0). Early on in his career as a student, Sam embarked on a journey of a lifetime. He began in Ecuador, where he lived and taught English and Jiu Jitsu for a period of 10 months. Over the course of 3 years, he would travel back and forth, touring Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Brazil, where he would make over 5 trips for training under the two other Alliance founders and legends: Fabio "General" Gurgel, and Alexandre "Gigi" Paiva (both produced countless black belt world champions and were themselves world champion black belts as well).


Sam is a decorated competitor for the IBJJF, winning the Gold medal in multiple divisions at black belt in the adult and masters categories at various opens as well as the Pan No-Gi championships. He is also a European Championship bronze medalist, a World No-Gi Championship Bronze Medalist, and an Abu Dhabi - Canada National Pro Gold medalist, among other titles.


Besides Jiu-jitsu, he is an aspiring bow hunter, loves the outdoors, surfing, camping, hiking, and being a dad of three.

DO I NEED TO PAY TO TRY THIS CLASS?

Not for your FREE TRIAL CLASS!

If you are a fellow BJJ practitioner (member of a gym) just dropping in costs you NOTHING, but for those who do not belong to a gym, there is a $20 drop-in fee.

Open Mats are free for everyone and we welcome all schools!!! 

WHAT EQUIPMENT SHOULD I BRING TO CLASS?

Water, workout clothes, gi (if you have one), jiu jitsu belt (if you have one), sweat towel.

Rogue has loaner gis and belts on a first come first served basis.

IS THIS CLASS SUITABLE FOR EVERYONE?

All of our classes are open to all skill levels, beginner through advanced. We focus on the fundamentals of jiujitsu, which are simply the most effective parts of the art. We also do a lot of specific drilling and training, which teaches you how to apply techniques and movements during a “live” roll.

DO I NEED TO BE FIT OR IN SHAPE FOR THIS CLASS?

No, not at all! We find that people start at varying fitness levels. But, you will find that you do get fit by doing our classes. Isn’t that the point though? A fun workout that gets results!

WHAT EQUIPMENT SHOULD I BRING?

You will need gloves (both mma style and boxing), along with shin guards. We also recommend a mouth guard. We do have gloves and shin guards that can be borrowed for trial classes, until you purchase your own set. DON'T FORGET WATER!!!

CAN YOU TRAIN ME TO COMPETE?

Whatever goals you may have, we are here to support you on the way! Specific questions regarding competitions and MMA fights should be directed to your Coach.

DO I HAVE TO SPAR IF I JOIN THIS CLASS?

While live rounds have many benefits, you DO NOT have to participate in anything you are uncomfortable with. Our Muay Thai class is great for getting in shape and learning something new without the pressures of competing.
